The Cholesterol Code

The Cholesterol Code is a 105‑minute feature documentary that begins with one man’s health journey and opens into a global investigation of everything we think we know about cholesterol, low‑carb diets, and heart disease. When engineer and citizen scientist Dave Feldman reverses his pre‑diabetes on a low‑carb diet—only to be warned that his sky‑high LDL could spell disaster—he starts asking harder questions about decades of medical dogma, profit‑driven healthcare, and whether we’ve been fearing the wrong enemy.

My family and I are among the real stories in the film. Sharing our experience with metabolic strategies—especially around mental health—was both vulnerable and hopeful, and hosting this screening is my way of helping others discover that they’re not alone in wondering if there might be better options. If you’re curious, skeptical, or simply ready to see the science and human stories side by side, this is an evening to lean in and explore a different narrative together.

Because I work with Metabolic Collective, using this screening as a fundraiser felt like the most natural next step. Our team is focused on building peer-led communities, amplifying lived experience, and expanding access to metabolic therapies for psychiatric and neurological conditions. If this film resonates with you, supporting Metabolic Collective is a concrete way to help more individuals and families find the information, community, and hope they deserve.
